This bread-winning Company (Chathamkulam Saw
Mills) was formulated in the year 1969. Keeping in mind the Government
of India's deforestation law, we had made several experiments on soft
wood, including chemical treatments on soft wood to make them more
sturdy and strong as hard wood, for manufacturing packing materials,
Block Boards, Frames and Flush Door Frames, etc. We are not using any
hardwood materials, thus making it more environmental and
eco-friendly. We are further planning to make door and window frames
etc. from soft wood which would be more durable and user friendly and
ready to use. This will drastically eliminate the time spent for
searching the raw wood, getting the carpentry work done etc.
